The Romer Labs RapidChek® E. coli O157 product line was developed to deliver the simplicity, speed and high accuracy necessary in everyday E. coli O157 testing.
By utilizing a highly selective enrichment media coupled to an advanced lateral flow immunochemical device, it can detect E. coli O157 in various foodstuffs and environmental applications.
Fast and simple procedure
The simple preparation of enrichment media without autoclaving, and quick and easy sample preparation enable test results within the same day (8 to 18 hours). These can be read easily and directly from the developed strip, without the need for specialized and costly equipment.

The RapidChek® E. coli O157 product line uses a high performance enrichment media to enhance both the specificity and sensitivity of the overall method. Numerous certifications (
AOAC) confirm the high standards of analytical accuracy and result reliability.
Easy resource management
The simple-to-use lateral flow technology offers high throughput scalability. From one to hundreds of samples at once, strips can be read between 10 and 20 minutes after strip development. Kits and media can be stored at room temperature and offer a long shelf-life of up to 18 months.

RapidChek® E. coli O157 test system offers an easy to prepare one-step enrichment media, without the need of additional supplements, combined with proprietary antibodies to detect the pathogenic E. coli serotype O157 (incl. H7) in various foodstuff within a minimum of 8 hours.
