Ochratoxin Testing Solutions
Ochratoxins are potent fungal toxins that affect unprocessed and processed food and feed mainly under hot and humid storage conditions.
Ochratoxins are known to primarily act as kidney toxins and are a carcinogen to rodents. The toxin is formed by the Aspergillus and Penicillium species and mainly affects processed and unprocessed crops, coffee, wine and dried grapes. Ochratoxin is mostly produced during storage under conditions that favor mold growth – that is, warm and humid conditions with moisture levels above 14% and temperatures above 20°C.
Countries have established regulations to protect consumers from the harmful effects of ochratoxin intake. The European Union for instance has established maximum levels for food and guidance levels for feed. China has established allowable levels of ochratoxin in feed. Other countries that have established regulations are Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Indonesia and China.

AgraStrip®
Lateral Flow Devices
The AgraStrip® test kits are ready-to-use lateral flow devices (LFD) for on-site testing. These allow a rapid analysis of a wide range of food and feed samples with a assay time of 3 minutes.
The test kits are available in a qualitative or quantitative format. While qualitative LFDs can be read visually, quantitative tests are used with the AgraVision™ reader, to provide objective results and secure a consistent results documentation.
The test kits come complete with strips, antibody coated microwells, an assay buffer, pipette tips and Whirl-Pak® bags.

AgraQuant®
ELISA Tests
AgraQuant® OTA test kits are accurate and reliable enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) in a quantitative format. Together with a StatFax® or BioTek® ELISA reader, results can be directly interpreted and continuously documented.
These ELISA test kits are the ideal solution for a parallel measurement of multiple samples with incubation times of as low as 15 minutes for up to 42 samples.
Test kits are in a ready-to-use format to reduce handling errors and come with a set of 5 standards, an antibody coated plate, a dilution plate, a conjugate, a substrate and a stop solution.
