T-2/HT-2 Testing Solutions

HT-2 toxin and T-2 toxin are both potent fungal toxins that affect crops under conditions of high humidity and temperatures of 6-24°C.

These toxins are known to cause dermal necrosis, bloody diarrhea and affect production (weight gain, eggs, milk). Both toxins are formed by Fusarium species and mainly affect corn, wheat, barley, oats, rice and rye. T-2/HT-2 are frequently found under poor storage conditions.

Countries have established regulations to protect consumers from the harmful effects of T-2/HT-2 toxin intake. The European Union has established guidance levels for food and feed whereas China has established allowable levels of T-2 toxin in feed.

AgraQuant® T2/HT-2 test kits are accurate and reliable enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) in a quantitative format. Together with a StatFax® or BioTek® ELISA reader, results can be directly interpreted and continuously documented.

These ELISA test kits are the ideal solution for a parallel measurement of multiple samples with incubation times of as low as 15 minutes for up to 42 samples.

Test kits are in a ready-to-use format to reduce handling errors and come with a set of 5 standards, an antibody coated plate, a dilution plate, a conjugate, a substrate and a stop solution.
