Reliable Test Kits for Meat and Bone Meal Detection
The AgraStrip® FeedChek™ test kit for the detection of meat and bone meal (MBM) is designed to detect the presence of MBM in animal feedstuffs (e.g., raw materials, finished feeds). Currently, the use of mammalian MBM in cattle feed is prohibited or highly regulated in most countries due to its potential to spread Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) also known as mad cow disease.
As a precautionary measure, some regions (e.g. Europe) have restricted the use of MBM from any animal species in ruminant feeds.
User friendly strip format
In order to accommodate user-specific requirements, the AgraStrip® FeedChek™ MBM kit incorporates 2 tests into 1 test strip. One test indicates the presence of mammalian and/or avian MBM in the sample and the second test indicates the presence of mammalian MBM in the sample.
