Industry Professionals Contribute to Successful Allergen Management Workshop

30 food industry professionals joined Romer Labs on 6th November at the Hallmark Hotel in Cambridge to learn about current issues in food allergen detection and management.

Several guest speakers shared their own experiences in allergen detection and management, including Lynne Regent, CEO The Anaphylaxis Campaign, Rachel Ward, R. Ward Consultancy, Paul Bagshaw from Holchem Laboratories Ltd and Mike Woods, managing director and founder of Just Love Food Company. Adrian Rogers, senior research scientist at Romer Labs shared some new developments in allergen analysis and held a hands-on session on the use of rapid allergen tests (lateral flow devices).

•    risk management and root cause analysis
•    the importance of allergen management
•    cleaning validation and verification

A Q&A with the expert panel gave delegates the opportunity to ask and clarify points.
