AgraQuant® drug residue test kits are accurate and reliable direct competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) which operate on the basis of competition between the drug/metabolite in the sample and the drug enzyme conjugate for a limited number of specific antibody binding sites. With this ELISA kit, chloramphenicol can be detected in various matrices using a one-step incubation. Chloramphenicol can be detected in tissue samples following an ethyl acetate extraction method, which increases the sensitivity and specificity of the test. This is followed by a clean-up step involving the use of iso-octane/chloroform.
