Romer Labs' AgraStrip® Pro Ochratoxin A WATEX® Test Kit Receives USDA-FGIS Approval
Romer Labs, a global leader in diagnostic solutions for the food and feed industry, has received approval from the USDA Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS) for its AgraStrip® Pro Ochratoxin A WATEX® test kit. This kit facilitates the quantitative determination of ochratoxin A in wheat, as evidenced by its certification (FGIS 2024-184).
The AgraStrip® Pro Ochratoxin A WATEX® test kit was tested together with the AgraVisionTM Pro reader for a variety of wheat samples, including whole grain wheat flour, wheat middlings, wheat red dog, wheat flour 2nd clear, and wheat screenings.
With over 95% accuracy on ground samples during 21 tests, the approval from the USDA Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS) for the AgraStrip® Pro Ochratoxin A WATEX® test system is yet another proof of our commitment to providing high-quality testing solutions for the food and feed industry.
The AgraStrip® Pro WATEX® test system provides for the rapid and simple on-site quantification of mycotoxins in a variety of commodities. Paired with the AgraVision™ Pro reader, the system allows for the independent and simultaneous testing of up to four samples in an intuitive, walk-away procedure. Ochratoxin A is just one of six analytes currently covered by the AgraStrip® Pro WATEX® system: solutions for total aflatoxin, deoxynivalenol, zearalenone, total fumonisin and T-2/HT-2 are also available.
